Kimora Lee Simmons to Have Reality Show

The ex-wife of Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons will be debuting her own reality show this summer on cable’s Style network. Following the formula of most reality shows that focus on a single celebrity, Kimora: Life in the Fab Lab will focus on Kimora Lee Simmons‘ family life, as she raises her two daughters and her career as CEO of Baby Phat, the sister company to Russell’s popular Phat Farm fashion line.

I’m trying to care. I really am. But I really think that in order for people to care enough to watch you live your life, you have to stand out in our minds in a way that separates you from the other hundred’s of celebrities that are forced down our throats every day. There is nothing remotely intriguing about Kimora Lee from where I sit. Self-important, yes. Fun to watch, well, the jury is still out.

Style networks rep has been quoted as saying, “Kimora Lee Simmons is simply a fascinating woman.” Hopefully, they don’t mean she is interesting in the same way that NBC felt that Victoria Beckham was. We all saw how interesting Posh Spice wasn’t. Actually, according to the ratings, the only person who watched the show was me.

Here’s the reality show we really want to see: Celebrity break-ups 2: Kimora and Russell Simmons. This would of course be on the heels of the groundbreaking, Celebrity Break-ups: Bobby Brown and Whitney.
