Matthew Roloff, star of the TLC reality show, Little People Big World was snagged by police last month for driving while intoxicated. Apparently he caught the eye of a police officer when he couldn’t stay between the traffic lines. He failed a sobriety test and refused a breathalyser test.
Little Person, big trouble. For more information click Here.

I'm sorry that Matt was the target of a dui
Cindy | September 25, 2007 | 2:52 pmI’m sorry that Matt was the target of a dui stop and arrest. I hope that if he was drinking that it now a serious wakeup call since it is his second arrest. I would love to see them deal with this issues on the show. I think the family is great and hope it is a way to correct the mistake if he was dui again to educate all of us of how the system works and what he must go through now. It would make great community service project.

gloria | October 11, 2007 | 9:02 amI admire Matt and his family. I hope that the dui incident (two duis??, I didn’t know of the other one) was a serious oversite by Matt and that he doesn’t have a drinking problem. Alchohol is not the answer, my dad was an alcholic. One thing my eight siblings and I agree on is that we choose not to remember our lives growing up.

Idaho Spud Stud | November 13, 2007 | 12:14 amI say that I am a little bit dicsouraged by this information. We too enjoy watching the Roloff Show and find their lives very interesting. I do think that it is nice that nobody really knows about his Dui’s? I guess there is more than one? But what upsets me is that one person can get Dui’s, while another says some slang words on another show, another station and gets his show ripped off the air. Maybe this is not the right comparison, but same standards. I just hope that this is just a one or two time affair for matt. We really are pulling for him and the “other” person stated! Disappointed in Idaho.

Michelle Marcellino | December 11, 2007 | 1:39 pmI find it sad that everyone is so quick to point the finger at Matt Roloff as if they have never made a mistake themselves. What happened to “innocent until proven guilty”? Mr. Roloff is an amazing person and is still someone to be admired regardless of the outcome of this arrest. I’ll be praying for you and your family Matt!

April | December 13, 2007 | 3:57 pmI am thinking maybe it was a slight swerve (we have all done it) because of whatever reason and the cop had to have been somewhat of a jerk because it says “He failed a sobriety test”. WHY was he given a sobriety test? Matt can barely walk! There’s no way he is walking a straight on his best sober day! So I think the cop was just being a jerk and that was why Matt refused the breathalyser test, he felt targeted. Guess he didn’t think it would come back to bite this hard. I would like to know the blood alcohol level from the first time.
I love the show, it’s hard news to take in. We will see what happens.

Bri | December 14, 2007 | 5:03 pmFirst of all, he deserved to be arrested for the DUI. Second of all, you don’t go to PRISON for a DUI …. I just hope he learned his lesson and doesn’t do this again. At least he was arrested before he caused an accident and some innocent person was hurt or killed because this guy decided to drive drunk!!!
It's silly to see people make excuses for the man
Skully | December 14, 2007 | 5:55 pmIt’s silly to see people make excuses for the man when they know no details about the arrest or procedures used during such arrests.
Walking a straight line is not a sobriety test, although it MAY be included in one. Pupil dialation, hand to eye coorination, and simple observation may also come into play. The man REFUSED a breathalizer test…..this is something people usually do when they ARE drunk, and is advice given by lawyers for dealing with such cases (Matt has been arrested before for DUI, and I’m pretty sure was TOLD to never blow if arrested again).
I have respect for the man, and HOPE he doesn’t take the “little people’s rights” road, and claim medical reasons or or the fact that alcohol affects little people differently (ie:”I wasn’t drunk, but little people show abornormally high blood alcohol ratios after small ammounts of alcohol, and thats why I refused the test”).
I would HOPE he sets ANOTHER good example for his children by admitting a problem and doing wrong, and then seek help. Some people should NEVER drink…….It is not a right guaranteed by the constitution, you would think that after his first arrest, he would learn that is one of those who should never drink.
Another hero bites the dust. Who's left to look
Mom | December 16, 2007 | 2:40 amAnother hero bites the dust. Who’s left to look up to (No pun intended)? Shame on anyone who drives after ingesting any amount of alcohol. Loved the show. Was glad to see Matt make the dreams for his family come true. So disappointed. Jess on December 11, you’re an ass.
The Roloff family has never presented themselves as anything but
Marykh | December 19, 2007 | 7:54 pmThe Roloff family has never presented themselves as anything but a “normal” family who has some bigger issues, in regards to their physical problems, to deal with than most “normal” families. I’m not in the position to judge Matt. He’s a human being just like the rest of us and we all make mistakes - some greater, some lesser. They are a good family, hard working people who set an example for all of us in terms of what committment is about, what family is about and what plain, old fashioned decency is about. I wish Matt all the luck in the world with this ugly situation.
So what was the outcome of his court appearance?
