Adrianne Curry Sets the Record Straight

Recently there have been a lot of people accusing Adrianne of being a racist because of some comments she made in her Myspace blog about her boycott against BET and Black History Month. We tried to get an interview with her to try and better understand what she meant in her blog but we weren’t able to get the interview.
So I did the next best thing. I found the episode of her radio show where she addressed the situation and even let listeners call in to debate the topic with her and her host. Also Christopher Knight(Peter Brady) calls in to try and better explain what his wife was trying to say.

Adrianne Curry,you are not only a hypocrite but you’re also a liar!. You have the audacity to blog about a subject that you’re obviously uneducated about. What made you decide to jump on the Racist band-wagon?. Are you trying to bring attention to yourself because your career has failed?,or is this merely a publicity stunt to draw attention to you and your much older husband?..
First of all I think you are full of shit to say that you’re for “American History Month”,being that you’re nothing but a racist bigot,who has very little if any education about African American history..
Why attack Black people in order to get your point across?.You deliberately singled out African Americans and no other race,why? You say you’re for “American History Month”,yet on your show “My Fair Brady”,there was an episode where you wore a T-shirt that had “White Girl” written on the front of it. Why not wear a shirt that said “American Girl”?,if you are for “American History” only?.. And why in one of your “My Fair Brady” episodes you talk about Families sticking together,naming Italians and Mexicans that believe in sticking together as a family unit. You never once mentioned that Asians,Indians,African Americans,Arabs and other races also has a very strong family unit.
Young lady you need to grow up.. Pick up a book and read about African American struggles,what they went through with segregation,racism and other injustices here in America. Having one or two black friends doesn’t mean that you are aware of black history,because you obviously have no clue..
African Americans earned Black History Month.. They earned the right to have that one month out of the entire year to celebrate their heritage and culture. White Americans have the other 11 months to celebrate,because young lady I have yet to hear about any white people dealing with bigots hanging nooses outside of their school. Walk a day in an African American shoes.. See how it feels to be rejected on a daily basis in American society just because you’re black.. See how it feels to walk into an expensive boutique or clothing store to have people following you around the store,when all you want to do is shop. See how it feels to be qualified for a high profile job and not being hired just because you’re black. Go see how it feels to walk down the street to see older white women clutching their purses thinking that you’re going to rob them just because you’re black. See how it feels to stand and wait for a cab,but never being serviced because you’re black.
These things and more are happening here and now in 2007,so don’t tell black people to get over racism when they’re experiencing racism on a daily basis. To say that Jews have gotten over the holocaust was a flat out lie. Every year we see movies,documentaries and shows that are dedicated to the history of Jews,and you will always see this because they will never let us forget and we shouldn’t.
You singled out black people and failed to recognize how Mexicans celebrate cinco de mayo. You failed to mention that Mexicans have their very own television network called Telemundo,which is an all Spanish speaking network. You failed to mention the network specifically for Asian Americans called AZN.
Adrianne Curry you are as ignorant as they come,and should think twice before singling out one particular race to get a point across. You’re comment was racist and hypocritical,and I advise you to grow up,pick up a book and read about various cultures before making immature comments or statements about a culture that you know nothing about..
Find other ways to draw attention to yourself.. If you are that desperate for publicity,or if you need a job or for what ever reason you’re in need of the limelight,try something else,don’t attack African Americans in order to deal with your personal bullshit. It’s just wrong!!!
