Whitney Port’s “The City” causing issues with the workers

Ok, so the people who really work for Diane von Furtstenberg, have their high priced panties in a bunch because The City, MTV’s spinoff of The Hills, is fake. This is not a big suprise; The Hills is one of the fakest “reality shows” ever. Anyone who has been watching MTV for the last few years realizes that they have a penchant for scripting their game shows and reality shows like The Hills.
Whitney Port stars in The City, which is supposed to be about her move to New York to make it in the world of fashion. Whitney has landed a job with Diane von Furstenberg, and it’s cramping the style of the people who actually have to work for Diane von Furstenberg:
From the New York Post:
One source tells us, “She doesn’t really work. She is hardly ever in the office.” Those who do work for von Furstenberg, however, are in the office daily and “can’t get their work done because MTV tells them they can’t move any thing at their work stations. They do so many reshoots that everything has to look exactly the same every day.”

From NBC:
When files containing information from the women’s past arrive at the house the women learn they must win the next challenge in order to keep their files from being revealed to the moms. Star of the Food Network, chef Tyler Florence, presents the women with their next suitability challenge – a cooking competition in which they must make either the boys’ favorite meal or impress them with their own personal recipes. The winners of this challenge, decided by Florence and the boys, are exempt from having their files revealed to the moms.
Fox Reality takes pixilation to another level

Fox Reality will be unveiling what they are calling, “an innovative new pixilation graphic package” for its original programming on January 17th.
In the past pixilation techniques have been used to blur nudity, faces, logos and offensive graphics on reality television. However, Fox Reality promises that their pixialtion graphic package will actually add a new dimension to the viewing experience.
“Challenging a graphic practice originally designed to censor creates a unique tone and voice for our original brand and ultimately our network,” said Lorey Zlotnick, Senior Vice President Marketing and On-Air Promotion. “We’ve taken traditional pixilation and turned it sideways—instead of saying ‘don’t look,’ we’re calling on viewers to look even more closely.”
“We weren’t looking for a passive graphic package to merely look good on top of footage,” Ms. Zlotnick added. “It had to be strategic and work harder within our competitive landscape. Our campaign needed to strike multiple objectives and literally interact with our original programming, create an environment for our originals nobody else could own and clearly reinforce the overall network brand and voice.”
Fox Reality will debut this new technique on the season premiere of Solitary v3.0, January 17th at 9 p/8c.

Former WWE wrestler, and reality show star Joanie “Chyna” Laurer was rushed to the hospital yesterday after mixing pills and alcohol at her 36th birthday party. Although physicians at the hospital wanted to do a psychiatric evaluation, they were unable to because she was apparently too drunk to be coherent.
Sources at her Burbank home say that the former WWE champion, mixed vodka with prescription pills, and arrived at the hospital with cuts on her arm. Friends were concerned that she had attempted suicide, although this has yet to be confirmed.
After leaving professional wrestling, Laurer went on to do reality shows, such as Celebrity Fear Factor, The Surreal Life, The Surreal Life; Fame Games, and most recently, Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew.
50 Cent’s reality show gets the axe from MTV

MTV learned the hard way what most of us already know: nobody wants to watch a show starring rapper 50 Cent. His hood-version of The Apprentice, titled “50 Cent’s The Money and The Power” has been canceled by the music video network, citing poor ratings as the reason.
Failing to take into account that 50 Cent is not particularly hot on the music charts right now, and has the charisma of a tree stump in a wife beater, MTV decided to go through with the reality competition show, which involved a group of poorly cast twenty-somethings proving themselves to be worthy enough to work with Fiddy, or some crap like that.
Undaunted by this failure, MTV is going to continue to stray from its music video roots by planning even more reality tv for 2009.

Michelle Costa, one of Big Brother 10’s fan favorites(or at least my favorite) is now even more accessible than ever before. She’s now a member of Stickam.com. For all of you that don’t know, Stickam is a webcam community consisting of radio shows, live tv shows, and just about anything in between that doesn’t have to do with porn.
As far as I know her last show was on December 10th and she said to be on the look out for her next one because it will feature her fellow Big Brother housemate Jessie Godderz.
