Right to Bear Arms is the Focus of Showtime’s New Reality Show
Faith W | July 19, 2008The right to bear arms has always been a hot topic in America, and the Supreme Court’s recent ruling on the second amendment has brought the issue back into the mix of political debate. Cable network Showtime is filming a reality show that takes a look at some of the people who purchase firearms in the reality show, Lock and Load.
Lock and Load will be filmed in a gun shop called The Shootist, in Englewood, Colorado. The show takes a look at salesman Josh Ryan and the customers who come into his shop. The clientele is an interesting mix, ranging from the expected hunters, to a housewife. There is also a shooting range in the basement of the shop.
Showtime executives says that the premise of the show is not to take sides in the gun control debate, but to merely provide a chance for observation. Lock and Load is scheduled for 2009.
