MTV’s hit show THE REAL WORLD is looking for cast members for Season 22. If you want to shack up with six roommates, come on down to our OPEN CASTING CALL. Next season’s cast may have a place for you!
The requirements for an audition are simple. If you are between the ages of 18 and 24 then bring yourself, a valid ID and a recent photo to our OPEN CASTING CALL. You’ll interview with the Casting Directors and soon you could be sharing your life with millions of viewers on the next season of one of MTV’s most popular shows!
UPDATE 10/15/08: RealWorldCasting.Com is back. So if you don’t get through the casting call make a profile and try your luck at the competition. Who knows, maybe you can be the next Greg ‘Pretyboy’ Halsted….minus the arrogance and overall personality that guarantees you won’t be liked. At the very least for me and give me the insiders look at reality tv.

Hey CuriousG, did you go to a live audition? I just went to the philly one on Saturday and made it to the second part of the audition (where they have you fill out a novel of questions). You said you got an email saying you made it to the 2nd round. How long was that after your audition?

Yeah the auditioning process for RW 23 has already began. I received the email saying I’ve made it to the second round. Just waiting on that “818″ call back now.
info on the new season is all I am wonderin?! Everyone I talk to says that I am perfect for this but need to know what the next step is for me, let me know
Yeah, sorry to burst any bubbles, but RW 22 is being filmed right now in Cancun… it started filming in January, and they’re staying at some resort and have to help kids with spring break during the show. So I’m sure the new casting calls for the upcoming 23rd season…
But, maybe the website is talking about season 23? Idk i’m confused. Some news places are already saying that production for 22 began in January and that casting ended in October. I don’t really know. I hope it didn’t end yet but I guess when they finally announce the cast we’ll know for sure? Also, on the MTV website it says the “last finalist” and lists the girl that won the internet search for one of the house members. its unclear if there will be 7 or 8 in the house. some websites say 7 others say 8. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see
Hey guys, I don’t know why everyone is talking about the casting for 22 being over because on the Bunim/Murray website which has the ACTUAL information about casting for real world season 2 they are still visiting locations well into March!
so don’t lose hope yet and cross your fingers, maybe they’ll call

I was just wondering if all of the candidates have been chosen yet because the casting call is still on MTV’s website. I submitted an e-mail to them but now after reading all of this i get the impression that it is all over. thanks
I’m glad I didn’t make it past semi-finals for RW 22. The cast of Brooklyn is horrible, and couldn’t imagine living with them. I’m sure RW22 isn’t going to be any better.

They are definitely DONE with final interviews. The remaining 6 will be chosen before xmas (probably this week). Anyone know about the location yet? I was told I didn’t make finals so if ya’ll wanna be friends, hey, i’m too old to audition again:

and he is done and they told him they are making a choice in the next couple of weeks. So if you didnt make it to the finals…its over. Oh well im trying again next year…good luck everyone!!!
alright people. I assume not. i gave myself till today to have them call me..all i got was a call asking if i have a passport. So im going to roll up a big blunt and smoke it since i havnt smoked in a month bc they said they were going to drug test me haha

When I posted this I had no idea that it would get a discussion going like this one…it turned out pretty cool. But while I’m happy everyone can come here and discuss their experience with the show and casting producer it does get a little irritating when people start impersonating others. So I’ll be adding actual user registration later on today. So if you have been posting here and somebody’s taken your screen name just let me know and I’ll make sure you get your name so people can recognize you.

Im not gonna lie ur post just gave me a little bit of hope…I havnt set my whole life on this thing..but to get this far and not make it would kind of suck u know what i mean? Anyways they gave me a bunch of guest releases for everyone that appears in my “home tape” any pictures id bring, or anyone that would call or visit me. As far as i know they havnt contacted any of my friends yet though or my boyfriend.
You are probably in finals. They usually at some point after they know the finalist say something similar to “we don’t know if you’re a finalist yet, blah, blah” but they are probably just making sure your background check goes through (which everything should be fine as long as you didn’t lie). I will say when I got my contract they called me a couple days before to tell me I was a finalist and then sent me the contract. This coming up week will be used to interview your friends. I think they should be contacting you again VERY soon just to confirm you are a finalist. Did they give you contracts for your friends also? Keep us updated.
I don’t think you should worry L. I think they sent out the paperwork to people they had in mind for finals. I’m sure they’ll probably call you very soon to set up a trip for next week.
not sure..still waiting. I know they just got the contract back to them yesterday…so Im not sure. I really hope they call but Im starting to think they are over it haha seems like ppl already know if they are finalists while i was filling out paperwork

I got mailed a packet last wed. With a huge contract etc. Had to have that sent back today. On the cover letter it said that hadnt decided whos going to finals yet but to fill out the paper work in the mean time They said i should have a lawyer look at it…but since it was a holiday weekend and had to be back in cali today..they didnt really leave me much time. And B. Spears is legit..the contract is unbelievably binding..and I felt pretty uncomfortable signing most of the stuff i signed
I called today and the lady said that the finalist have been notified also. I think the additional casting calls are for the internet people. Go to the real world casting website and read the link on the bottom part of the page about how the casting process goes. Sorry folks.
Something isn’t adding up here. This is my opinion: they are casting tomorrow in 4 major California cities. I don’t think they are goin to Cali looking for ONE person, they are trying to find the best possible people. Its clear they don’t like a lot of people they have seen so far. So I think they have a maybe/probably list and a no list (which I think Blake is on). Coconut, I don’t know exactly what u have heard, but it seems u are on the maybe/probably list. I think after they finish those Cali interviews, there are going go back and watch video on Thursday and part of Friday, and make phone calls Friday evening, no later than Monday. They aren’t going to tell different people different dates just for fun, they have a reason I am sure. And when was everyone else told they would hear? Anyone else emailed or called them yet?

I talked to my casting director today. Unfortunately she informed me that if I didn’t receive a phone call last week then I had been processed out of casting for Real World season 22. Just wanted to let you guys know, so your not sitting by your telephone waiting for a call.

does that mean that you get paid before or at hte end of everything? what kind of rules do people usually break?
Its roughly 400 dollars a week you are there (that’s if you don’t break the “rules”…which you will). Also, you are not compensated for any bills or time off of work you will have while on the show. You would probably have to quit your job, seeing that the show tapes for about 4 months…unless your job doesn’t mind you taking that much time off of course. And yes, you will be mailed hundreds of pages of contracts, which pretty much signs your whole life away for about 8 good years, and yes, I’m serious.
I’m not positive. I was just heard from a source (same as probably everyone else on here) that they’ll probably have the finalists picked at the end of next week. But really, they could still probably do it even the week after that since they are still holding casting calls next week. I’m really not positive. But I also know that they said they’d be holding finalists interviews around the 2nd week of december. That’s what they were going for. Not sure if that’s the current situation though.
Coconut, how sure are u about when we are suppose to find out? Or anyone, has anyone heard anything recently about when we are suppose to find out since they have posted more casting calls?
