Los Angeles, CA The fourth season of LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD will premiere on Monday, October 13 at 8 PM PT/ET, it was announced today by TLC. The award-winning docu-series, which follows the lives of the Roloff family comprised of both little and average height people will kick off with a one-hour premiere that finds dad Matt Roloff traveling to Iraq to help a family with three dwarf children in desperate need of medical attention. The moving special will lead into 20 new episodes that find the entire family pushing boundaries.
“The opportunity to help this family in Iraq was both humbling and exciting, especially seeing firsthand what our troops are going through. It’s awe-inspiring,” said Matt. “Even after all I’ve accomplished in my life, this experience has reminded me that we all face challenges some more extreme than others and we need to take every chance we have to make an impact in the world around us.”
The entire Roloff family will be involved in life-changing experiences this season. Matt returns from Iraq with big plans for the farm as the twins Jeremy and Zach prepare to graduate from high school. Daughter Molly is cramming for her drivers’ license and youngest son Jacob hits the field as his focus on soccer grows. Mom Amy learns to let go she realizes the kids are growing up and she needs to focus on herself, too. The house continues to undergo an extensive renovation, and the family heads to Florida for a much-needed vacation.
“LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD will continue to share the big surprises and little moments that make the series one of the most engaging and addictive on TV today,” said Eileen O’Neill, president of TLC. “The series helps remind us of all we share in common, despite any differences we might have.”

just saw last night’s show, march 23. amy,we are very proud of you and the children.ya,ll did a wonderful thing. you are such a good mom, amy.you have great moral values and you are teaching the children those values.what you did in mississippi will long be remembered.it came from your heart. you have great kids.we love your show. i know it must be hard to have the tv crew there, but you and matt are such positive role models. we do not have enough good tv shows to watch anymore.your show is a breath of fresh air.god bless you and your family.
I shed many tears ,as I lay next to my perfectly healthy five year old,, sleeping soundly and watched the father of these disabled children, wait for the surgery to end. I was so struck by how many things had to come together just right, for this to be successful. God Blessed the complete operations and it was so wonderful to see. I realized that, no matter what the country, we all love our children so fully. Thank you to all that made that possible to a family that had probably no hope for their children. AMAZING!
Matt I have to say that was an amazing thing you did for that family! You could see it in their eyes, it ment the world to them! It was a very brave thing you did. God bless you and your family!!!
Oh, puleese…to compare the need of these children to American children is simply absurd. Handicapped people are dealt with severly in non-western cultures. These children, this family, are in dire straits and no, American, you did not have to say it…..
Matt is a hero once again. What about you, American?
Matt you did a awesome thing…. care abroad for families like these are non-existent.. God bless you.
Ok, I just have to say this… There were no AMERICAN families that needed help??? I mean why go to Iraq and help a foreign family when there have got to be MANY famalies right here in the USA that need Matt’s help… We need to help our OWN families before we fly across the globe to help Iraq…
