C. Thomas Howell started acting in the film industry at a young age and appeared in Steven Spielberg’s “E.T.:The Extra-Terrestrial.” He was later cast in Francis Ford Coppola’s, “The Outsiders” and it was his gripping performance as the tough, yet vulnerable, Ponyboy Curtis that made him a household name virtually overnight. He has also appeared in “Red Dawn”, “The Hitcher,” “Side Out,” “That Night” and award-winning independent film “The Glass Jar.” Not only is Howell an acclaimed actor, he has also directed the films “The Big Fall,” “Pure Danger,” “The Land That Time Forgot,” and directed and co-wrote “Hourglass.” Most recently, Howell has appeared in the series’ “Southland” and “Criminal Minds.”
