According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher are getting together to do a reality show. Ashton, best known from That ’70’s Show, has created hit reality shows like Beauty and the Geek, and Punk’d. Supermodel Banks, is the host of daytime talk show, Tyra, and is the creator of the very successful America’s Next Top Model.

No word yet on the premise of the the show they are collaborating on, but I’m guessing that it’s about wanna-be models that get elaborate pranks played on them.

Niels Hoven, contestant on last season’s Beauty and the Geek, turned dating coach recently got punched in the face and has an interesting post on his blog describing the incident. It was really nothing serious, but his blog is pretty good. Check it out…

A Turkish version of the reality show, Beauty and the Geek did not sit well with the intended audience, or the government for that matter, and was yanked from the air after one episode.

Their version, based on the popular American version created by Ashton Kutcher, was thought by outraged viewers as “sexist”. The Turkish show was titled “Beauty and the Genius”, and if you ask me, that’s why it failed.

The Turkish title automatically gives the men the upper hand. “Genius”? No, no, no, they have to be called, “geeks”. That’s what levels the playing field. Sure, geeks are super-smart, but the word “genius” gives them superiority. “Geeks” make them socially flawed. The title of show is extremely important. I mean, what would you think of a show called, “Bill Gates and the Bimbos”? Would you watch it?
