What do you get when you cross The Amazing Race with an eating competition, aside from stomach cramps and vomiting? You get the Food Network’s upcoming game show, which they are currently casting for in Los Angeles:

Are you are a connoisseur, critic, chef, aficionado, restaurant owner or are just in a serious love affair with food?

The Food Network is currently casting foodies of all kinds in the Los Angeles area to be a part of a fun and exciting new TV series!

The show focuses on two teams who race through many of LA’s culinary hot spots competing in challenges in the ultimate chowhound smack down!

It’s an amazing “food-adventure” race!

We are looking for high-energy, dynamic and competitive two-member teams (husband & wife, parent and child, two good friends, two co-workers, etc.) who are 25-45 and have some connection, knowledge or experience in the food industry.

A few words of advice: if you’re going to audition for A.I., please don’t sing the hits of Beyonce, Alicia Keyes or Whitney Houston if you are a male. I don’t care if they are your favorite divas, there’s something inherently weird about a guy singing diva songs.

But if you insist on going down the Dreamgirls path, dress the part, so that even if you don’t make it to Hollywood, you make it to television.

That is advice that you can take to the bank, but if you’d like the advice of people who actually know something, get a few hints from Jordan Sparks, Jon Peter Lewis, Ace Young and other past Idol contestants.

According to Playbill , MTV is putting together a reality show in which the contestants are competing for the chance to be cast in the Broadway version of Legally Blonde.

Casting for the reality show will start on January 21 at the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre in Florida. The contestants will be competing for the role of Elle Woods. MTV exposed its audience to the musical by showing it in its entirety on October 13.

L.A. Ink will be casting for a speed dating episode of their reality show on 12/18 in Hollywood. They need single men between the ages of 26-40 as well as women between the ages of 25-35. They are looking for looking for Conservative guys but all types are welcome.
