They Bachelorette Anna DePappas made the wrong choice when she chose snowboarder Jesse Csincsak
after getting dumped not once, but twice by Brad Womack, and they must have been right. The Bachelorette and the boarder have gone their separate ways.

According to In Touch magazine: “…after the show was over and we settled in to our normal lives, I slowly came to realize that we are two totally different people and it wasn’t going to work out.” Anna will be donating her engagement ring to charity.

TV Land orders a Show Where Cougars Can Track Down Their Younger Prey

Comments Off

Well, the first person I would like to see on the show is Star Jones, whose “friendly pairing” with Dwyane Wade has been giving me slight stomach cramps all week. But I don’t think that is going to happen.

Nostalgia network TV Land, whose reality show niche seems to be geared to the over 40 crowd, has just ordered a show that sounds like a cross between The Bachelor and Age of Love for women. The show, which was developed by High School Reunion’sMike Fleiss , will have an older woman looking for love from a younger man.

According to the press release:

“TV Land announced today the pickup of a new elimination dating series, Untitled Cougar Project, where eligible young men vie for the attention of a sexy and accomplished mature woman (the Cougar). Through a series of creative and romantic challenges, the men will be eliminated weekly — all at the discretion of the Cougar. The network will produce one-hour episodes slated to air in early 2009. Casting for participants has begun nationwide.”

If you think you have what it takes to snare a younger man, or if you are a young man looking for a cougar to tame, click here to apply at the casting site for Cougars.

Maybe we’ll see Mariah Carey on the celebrity version, after she’s done with new hubby Nick Cannon. Hell, she’ll be 40 very soon.

The Bachelorette will be returning to ABC on March 17th. At this point, we have no information on who the bachelorette is going to be, but hopefully it won’t be someone who will dump the man she chooses on national television, like a Bachelor who shall remain nameless…

We’re flying in the finalists (both men and women, because we’re casting both The Bachleor and Bachelorette) to LA late November.

* “Eligible” means that you’re at least 21, single, have the ability to leave your job for up to 30 days and make  good-ass TV! It means you’re so hot that you could stand there and say nothing and still be captivating, or you’ve got the charm, wit and sense of humor of a stand-up comedian.”
