Wipeout Contestant Says He Almost Died Doing the Show

A contestant on the ABC hit reality show Wipeout claims that competing on the show nearly cost him his life. Considering that people on reality shows actually have been killed, I suppose he’s pretty lucky.

ABC Orders Obstacle Course Show Wipeout

According to the Hollywood Reporter, ABC has signed on for the pilot of a competition reality show, called Wipeout.

The show, which is produced by reality tv experts, Endemol USA, is being described as the world’s biggest obstacle course, with the winner receiving a prize of $50,000.  The producers say it is, “like Fear Factor without the gross.”

So, it’s kind of like a cross between The Amazing Race and Super Sloppy Double Dare.
