So You Think You Can Dance Results Show: Episode 6

There were no surprises in this week’s results show. The bottom three couples included Chelsea and Thayne, Susie and Marquise, and Chris and Comfort.

Chelsea dances convincingly, and even manages to fit her choreography into that annoying ending without it looking forced. Thayne reveals all 32 of his teeth. Susie dances, but not like she still wants it. Marquise does some phenomenal flips where he lands on his bottom, with his body folded in half. Comfort was off the hook as usual. Chris was lackluster.

Nigel gives a pep talk before revealing the judges decision. He talks about watching Kobe Bryant shaking the hands of all the Celtics basketball players after they beat the Lakers, and calls Kobe a great man for being a good sport. Nigel closes by saying, that even when you fail at one thing, it doesn’t stop you from being a great dancer. It sounded like he was directly addressing Susie, who had lost her spark and consequently her spot on the show. Nigel tells Marquise that his performance was full of tricks, which the show was not about, and consequently he was also kicked off. This is the second full couple to lose their place, so there will be no shuffling of couples next week.
