R&B singer, Brandy’s brother and Kim Kardashian’s sex tape partner, Ray J will join the ranks of Flavor Flav, and Bret Michaels in his public search for temporary love and a career boost via VH1. His dating show will kick off sometime in 2009, and it should be interesting since he is significantly younger than both Flav and Bret. It should be entertaining to see how he handles the off-the-wall situations that he will certainly find himself in on the show.
According to VH1:
He may be one of the most infamous playboys in hip-hop, but he still hopes to find that special woman he can settle down with … and VH1 is going to help! The “Sexy Can I” singer is getting his own dating show in 2009, and producers are already looking for smart, attractive women over 21 who think they can handle the drama of celebrity life.
Ray J is looking for love!
Smells like a casting call is in the air, so if you want a shot at fame, and/or Ray J start working on that audition tape now.

Sometime earlier this year Comedy Central did a Roast for Flavor Flav, star of reality show Flavor of Love, and participant in The Surreal Life and Strange Love, and some other totally embarrassing sitcom. Comedian Kat Williams was the host of the roast, and he has been doing a bit recently where he talks about the overt racism and Flav’s take on it.
This video has strong language and liberal use of the N-word, but it is funny. Especially if you saw the roast, which was also funny.

Finally, VH1 has come up with a spinoff of their “love” reality shows that totally throws the, “Are you here for me?” question out the window. This summer the cable network will be launching their new show, “I Love Money.”
Honestly, we all knew that everyone on Flavor of Love, Rock of Love, and I Love New York was not there for love. It was always a joke when Flav or New York would suddenly suspect that a contestant was not “there for them”, because everyone was there to boost their careers, or at least get recognized on the street and asked to host parties.
According to Variety.com, former contestants of Flavor of Love, Rock of Love and I Love New York will be competing in a series of reality show competitions, not for fake tv love, but cash prizes. The show has already been filmed, and the casting special is set to air on July 6th, and the series will debut on July 13. Carmelo Anthony’s baby’s mama and VH1 Flavor of Love reunion host, Alani “La La” Vasquez will host the show.

When is New York located on the West Coast? When Tiffany Pollard pursues her career in Hollywood. VH1 has extended Tiffany’s fifteen minutes of reality show fame by following the pursuit of her acting career in a new show called, New York Goes to Hollywood.
The show, which starts filming by the end of the month will show viewers New York as she tries to make the big time as an actress in L.A. However, according to BuddyTV, VH1 is having a bit of trouble casting the drama queen’s manager, and getting celebrities to do cameos. The 10 episode show will cover the span of a month.
New York first made her reality tv appearance as the over-the-top contestant vying for rapper/hype man Flavor Flav’s attention in Flavor of Love. After losing out at the end, she came back even crazier in Flavor of Love 2, only to be dumped again at the end by Flav. This led to a spin-off of her own dating reality show, I Love New York, where she found love, but was kicked to the curb once again, this time at her reunion show. She is currently living with and engaged to fashion executive George “Tailor Made” Weisberger, her romantic choice on I Love New York 2.

Eddie Griffin in another in a long line of celebrities on the edge of oblivion looking to revive their popularity on VH1. The thing about his show, is that we will get to see him struggle to pull himself out of financial ruin, and get his personal and financial affairs in order, with the help of his mother.
From VH1:
From his sitcom “Malcolm and Eddie,” to movies like “Undercover Brother” to his sold-out standup tours, comedian Eddie Griffin is a major player in the comedy game. He’s also one of the hardest working men in the entertainment industry. And he better be because he’s supporting eight children, two ex-wives, four “baby-mamas” and an entourage of family and friends. It’s a large extended family that makes this comedian’s life complete. The problem: they’re also bleeding him dry. And now Eddie Griffin is in danger of going broke.
Editor’s note: His family is not bleeding him dry. When someone decides to make eight babies, they have chosen to bleed themselves dry. Let’s put the blame where it belongs.
Premiering Monday, January 26 at 10 PM ET/PT, “Eddie Griffin: Going for Broke” is a 30-minute docu-series that will give viewers an intimate look into Eddie’s struggle to support himself and a rather large and complicated extended family. In fact, his generosity and sense of responsibility are what put him in a financial nose dive. Simply put, Eddie’s earnings can’t keep pace with his elaborate lifestyle.
But there is one person who might be able to help him figure it all out. Enter Doris, Eddie’s mom, the one person who can give him a big dose of tough love. Will mom tolerate the blow-out parties and fast Hollywood life that Eddie loves so much? Can she open his eyes to the fact that his life is out of control? That’s up to Eddie.
Sounds like Eddie is VH1’s new Flavor Flav.
