The Simmons Get Help Dealing With Their Two Sets of Twins on Supernanny

Debra and Tracy Simmons are pushover parents with two sets of twins, ages four and seven, who call all the shots and eat a diet packed with sugar and unhealthy food choices. Four-year-old Parker calls Mom a “butthead” with no consequences; Debra hides in the bathroom to eat a meal and get a moment’s peace. Dad Tracy works from home, and when his rambunctious children need disciplining, he meekly implores them not to misbehave. They respond by locking him out of their bedroom! Supernanny Single Dad Kills Self on July 4th

A Kentucky man who appeared on the ABC reality show Supernanny died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds on July 4th.  He was talking to police of his cell phone at his father’s grave when the incident occured.

Police say that James Scott Terrill of Georgetown, KY called local police while at the cemetery where his father is buried, threatening to shoot himself in the chest. Police spoke with him for almost an hour, trying to diffuse the situation. They believed they were making progress, when the 37 year old man shot himself while talking to them.

Mr. Terrill appeared on Supernanny with his two sons Lane (age 11) and Tate (age 5) on January 23. His mother had abandoned the children, and he was a single father. The show helps parents deal with out of control young children, with the help of host, nanny Jo Frost. The show’s producers, Richochet expressed “extreme sadness”  upon hearing the news.

James Scott Terrill, age 37, died Friday, July 4, 2008, in Georgetown.He was born in Lexington on April 6, 1971, to Margaret Kenley Terrill Ng, of Georgetown, and the late Charles Ralph Terrill. He was a member of Safe Harbor Baptist Fellowship in Georgetown.

Survivors in addition to his mother include a stepfather, Raymond Ng, of Georgetown; two children, Lane Joseph Terrill and James Tate Terrill, both of Georgetown; two brothers, John Terrill, of Louisville, and Daniel Ng, of Georgetown; and two stepbrothers, Lester Ng, of Kansas City, and Chilton Ng, of Savannah, Ga.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Georgetown Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Russell officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 8, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home.
