Do you use your looks to get ahead, get out of a traffic ticket, get a job, land a boyfriend or cut through the line at a trendy club? Ten divas from Oxygen’s newest competition reality series ‘Pretty Wicked‘ answer yes to all of the above. Pretty Wicked puts looks aside and has these prima donnas compete to see who is the most beautiful on the inside for a grand prize of $50,000.
Upon their arrival in the house, the rules of the game change when they find out that in THIS competition their looks are meaningless. During the eight one-hour episodes, the girls are challenged to confront their mean spirited ways in a series of challenges designed to “beautify” their insides to match their outside. These rude ladies are in for a rude awakening when they find themselves in situations they would never have imagined from being ‘made under’ so they appear years older to making that perfect first impression on a bunch of hot guys who could care less about physical beauty because they are blind!
The twists and turns in this social experiment continue while the girls find themselves without the everyday luxuries they are accustomed to mirrors, cell phones and, most importantly, privacy. Over their time together, emotions flare and tempers soar when these mean girls must tap their inner beauty to win their way to the top. The ‘pretty’ girl who shows the greatest transformation by series’ end wins the grand prize.
CariDee English, winner of the seventh season of Americas Next Top Model, serves as host alongside three celebrity judges plus-sized model and published author Mia Tyler, Beverly Hills psychotherapist and radio talk show host Dr. Jenn Berman and comedian/author Kyle Cease (Not Another Teen Movie). Together, the judges are tasked with eliminating one of the ladies, based on the weekly challenges and the transformation witnessed that week.
“‘Pretty Wicked’ truly is the ultimate inner-makeover competition show,” said Amy Introcaso-Davis. ” Viewers will see these spirited, independent women transform into more self-aware and ultimately, nicer girls.”
Pretty Wicked premieres Tuesday, March 31 at 10 pm ET/PT.
