Big Brother 10: Week 5 Eviction and HoH

Tonight Libra was evicted from the Big Brother house, and as a result she has become the first member of the jury. When I saw that fight with her and Jessie last week, I knew she’d be going this week. Her big mouth ultimately led to her downfall. I’m not a fan of hers, but I will miss the funny looks she’d get on her face when certain things were said.
I’m now interested to see what kind of damage the newly formed Renegades(Memphis and Dan) can do in the house. But I’ll have to wait another week to see if they get power because Renny is the new HoH. Renny hasn’t had any really big blowouts with anyone in the house. We know she doesn’t see eye to eye with Jerry, so that gives us one potential nomination, but the second one is a toss up. She could go the safe route, and nominate Michelle, but I’d like to see her make a strong play and nominate April. The real game of Big Brother starts because what Renny does this week will set the house up for a mad dash to the finish.

Deadwood
Michelle wins HOH this week. Absolutely incredible. The funny thing is her targets this week. April made an agreement to spare Jesse from the block when she and April were competing for HOH the previous week. April went back on her word, proving she cannot be trusted. Michelle, of all people, should have seen that red flag from the get go. Then again, she is the Deadwood this season, so perhaps she has not been playing this game all along, or without a brain. If you have the chance to take out the person on top wouldn’t you do that, versus getting out the henchmen?… who knows. Needless to say, her thoughts on stirring up the house and continuing to get in Keesha’s face will prove to hurt her in this house for sure in weeks to come.
The Diffuser
Once again the Diffuser, or Renny has proven week after week, to just lay low and let things explode. As long as she continues to stay out of the cat fight of “April & Keesha, Michelle & Keesha, Libra & all the women”, she will continue to dodge bullets and go far. I miss her funny antics, but I understand all too well, her game is in recovery mode right now.
Oh Man Dan
Why did Oh Man Dan get America’s Player… That is awful… I mean either he or “The Chinster”, were the best candidates but Dan come on… Total cheeseball, with NO acting skills whatsoever. To recieve 20,000 bucks to do those types of tasks; totally rediculous. He makes Eric’s game from season 8 look impossible, hence the real America’s Player will always be Eric in my book. As for the Jerry vs. Oh Man Dan charade, Dan needs to start really pranking the hell out of that old man, and stop taking his words so seriously. He is hands down, laying low, but the problem is he will always lay low, and perhaps never step up to the plate the entire game.
Kee Kee aka Dainelle 2.0
Keesha, Keesha, Keesha… I can pretty much say she will not be heading home this week, especially up against Libra, whose temper tantrum and cry baby session with The Chinster, to save her own skin will not undo her deceitful ways. But Keesha has to know when to keep the gloves on in a fight and when to take them off; and she doesnt have to take them off ALL the time. She has been taking the gloves off all the time, especially when Mr T said “a little liquid courage”. Keesha’s achilles heel is her booze cruise. She will just lay it all down in a fire fight when alcohol is present. Hopefully she can realize this and correct herself, before her game falls apart. I think she has very valid points with April, Ollie and Michelle in this game, but she needs to learn how to adapt better in this house full of surprises and snakes. Being the calling out type will only get you so far, and knowing when to tuck her gloves in her pockets for another day will help her game immensely. GO Kee Kee…
Mr T
Memphis still to this day, is someone to watch out for. Although he was on the block a week before, he has managed to adapt and blend in so well with others that once again, he is camoflague in this house. We still have yet to see him explode into a head to head player. And despite his outcome in the POV prize, he has shown he knows when to turn it on. But be careful Memphis, we dont want you to be like Icarus… Dont fly to close to the sun or your wings will melt, just like Dustin from my season. Winning a car or a trip to Barbados can prove to be fatal in weeks to come if your not careful. But trying to go for prizes vs acting like your trying in a competition and losing is another. Mr T. I await your performance, because i know your due for an HOH victory, and when that happens finally there are enough people weeded out of the house for you to start doing some damage. You are still my pick for the overall win in this game.
Old Timer
I called it this week… I knew we would start to see a spark from Jerry this week. The Old Timer decided to take his frustration out on Dan… If he was smart about things the previous week, he would have been a little more demanding to not have Jesse go up on the block. Once again, he is an Old Timer, and most older people are set in their ways or better known as traditionalists. He will not let Oh Man Dan out of America’s decision to send Buzz LIghtyear packing. But I’m optimistic about Jerry. I think his stripes will change when Dan either wins HOH (never happen) or POV (possibly happening). He loves this experience and is not ready to pack his things. However, He has shown his stripes in that he is highly opinionated, and a band wagon jumper when it comes to people winning HOH. A typical strategy, that has many holes in the bucket. I am still rooting for the Old Timer, but i think his time is continuing to be limited based on who wins HOH and his poor judgement with grudges.
“Chinzey” or The Chinzter
I still am NOT a fan of Ollie, but i have to commend him on his gameplay. He without a doubt was similar to me in that in the middle of the season he did not receive a lot of air time, which proved for me to be a silent assassin move. As for Chinzey, he continues to USE April for the heat matches, and consoles her to keep him away from target practice. He continues to choke on competitions and pov’s. And honestly we as viewers dont know much about him. This is why Ollie is dangerous, and has a strong chance at winning this game, as long as April stays in the game. As soon as those two are broken apart, one of two things will happen. One his game will go to crap as he has not broadened his relationships with other houseguests after 40 days. Similar to Eric from Season 8’s game which cost him his gameplay. Or two, he will start winning competitions like James from Season 9, and start causing problems and eventually get ejected, due to betrayal and ultimately no friendships in the house. Ollie is one to watch out for… Stay tuned.
April or Mrs Slither
I retract my nickname Jen 2.0… I have truly seen April’s true side this week, and she is nothing like Jen. She has a closer side to Dick of Season 8. April knows how to point the finger and get it to stick in people’s heads. A true manipulator… Very good for this game, hands down and a good adversary. She has characteristics like Dick from 8, and we have yet to see her crumble. Mrs. Slither needs a good kick in the butt from an HOH’er this week and needs to marinate on the block all week next week to show that she is vulnerable. I figure Mr T, Oh Man Dan, and Kee Kee would hands down put her up next week if given the chance. I must add that April has truly shown her colors vividly and the only person able to see them is Keesha. April knows that Keesha will be her biggest issue, but I have a feeling that next week things will get even uglier for those two. Once again, i am not a fan of Mrs. Slither, but her gameplay is incredibly good, and I enjoy watching her make her moves.
The Scales
It is about time to see Libra break down in this game. Having no idea if it was a show for The Chinster “Ollie”. She has proven that she wants to fight and stay in the house but she has shown all her cards, and not even Kyle Ivey from the World Poker Tour can win this hand. Even worse, she will be stuck in sequester all week alone, if she goes home this week. Whats better would be a sucker punch to see April go home the next week so those two can enjoy each other for a week alone. I doubt it will happen, but here’s hoping, as i rub my lucky Rabbit’s Foot in delight. I cannot see how they can’t get rid of Libra this week. She has little to no friends left in this house, has already turned on her closest ally Keesha, and if given a chance in the house to win HOH, would be lethal to so many people. I am convinced her days are limited. In addition, Libra is a person to go down in flames, so i have a feeling we have not seen the full inferno yet. I think she won’t leave without a fight… She will tell everyone in that house exactly what she wants them to hear, and there is no getting around it. Wait for it, as its coming… The scales are officially in balance but i think we already know thats not true… Bye Bye.
Conclusion…
A couple of fire fights are brewing and are coming to a head very soon. Libra vs The House is one, Keesha vs April another. I think there is a chance at Jerry exploding soon on more than one person. This house is not too exciting this year, but there is some fire in many of these people, as well as the characters are well developed. Kudos to the casting department this time around. I think this house is going to have major issues if Keesha, Memphis or Dan win HOH on Thursday. Its obvious that Michelle cant make her own decisions in this house. Its obvious that April is manipulating people and they believe her. Its obvious Keesha needs to pick her battles without a wine glass. Its obvious Dan is a Goofball and needs to step it up if thats possible. Ollie is playing dead. And finally, Renny is just letting the fire fight itself. I think HOH this week is crucial to the survival or upset in this game, and i have a feeling that another twist is around the corner. Till next week. thanks again.

Big Brother 10 Week 5: Nomination Spoilers

I don’t even think i really needed to post this, but Libra and Keesha were nominated for eviction this week. Libra, the main antagonist and conspirator in the whole Jessie eviction, is Michelle’s main target. Keesha too, has done her fair share of arguing, but she is merely just caught in Michelle’s cross-hairs by mere association with Libra.
Today the luxury/food competition was played. The current house guests seem to have really gotten a kick out of the alumni showing up to help out with the competition. Although we weren’t able to see the competition on the live feeds, there was quiet a bit of talk about it when it was over. Apparently, the alumni cheered when Michelle went up for her turn in the comp, and in stark contrast fell dead silent when Libra took the stage. Since the comment was made by Michelle I’ll assume the alumni were probably more vocal when she took her turn and just clapped when Libra went up. I don’t think they’d blatantly show that they didn’t like somebody by not clapping at all.
When the veto competition takes place I’ll be back to let you guys know who won. In the meantime, head on over and read what BB8’s Zach thinks of the current developements.

Finally, the 100% natural body builder was evicted from the Big Brother house, and it was all thanks to America’s vote. I think this might have been the first time that America was the swing vote. I’m not sure if we were the swing vote on Dustin’s(BB8) eviction. As nice as it was to have an affect on the game again, I think its time to stop with this America’s player stuff. It’s the type of twist that’s only good once. The house was jokingly calling Dan America’s Player before he was officially America’s Player, so its time to officially put that to rest along with the red leotards.
On a related note, Michelle won her first HoH compeition, beating out Libra in the end. I have to say I was very happy that Michelle beat Libra; that confident look she had when voting out Jessie pissed me off. I hate it when people look so confident when voting people out. It’s not like they already have HoH themselves, so they shouldn’t be so smug. I do feel sorry for Dan though. He’s getting yelled at by everyone right now because of what America voted. I don’t know if he can talk himself out of this, but only time will tell. I’ll be back to let you guys know who got nominated when it happens.

After watching my friend Keesha’s HOH week, I have continued to see improvements in her gameplay. Her HOH nominations were a bold move on her part, but I agree with them hands down. She actually nominated the adversaries that aided in the destruction of Steven; a move not even Danielle from season 8 could do to save Nick from the chopping block. So, kudos to you Keesha, a very bold move. In addition, even after mass coercion she stuck to her guns, and did not use the POV– very nice. She may find out the hard way that Libra will back stab her in the end, but at least she has her as a friend for a few weeks to come.
The Meathead (Jesse)
Once again, arrogance got the best of this breakdown Buzz. Mr Lightyear panicked like a stray dog, and decided to show his cards early. This may, in fact, bite him in the ass soon. All I can say for Buzz, is I’d be willing to bet his time is limited. Buzz off Buzz.
The Diffuser
The unscathed Renny. Lay low Renny, and you will continue to ride the wave of never being nominated. Renny received her first taste of nominations in the first week, and will probably not taste it again for a while. She has made some monumental changes in her personality to seriously bite her tongue on many issues, which is now allowing her to float under the radar, despite her physical limitation in competitions. Once again, the Diffuser will remain in this game and continue to make me laugh. Go, Renny.
Oh Man Dan
Mr. Dan, once again you are proving to be what I was in BB8 around the same time. Let others cause the problems, and bite your tongue. If Dan continues to be the nice guy to everyone, he will make it very far. Once again, Let Jerry and Memphis duke it out, let Jesse destroy himself, let Libra smack everyone, and let Oh Man Dan slide by.
Kee Kee aka Dainelle 2.0
Keesha had a volatile HOH but proved to everyone she can’t be pushed. The true progress of a leader. Although she has some Danielleisms, she still has a very strong willed mind of the game and takes risks. If this game wasn’t about risks, you would get nowhere. I feel she truly opened up the wounds of who is on who’s side. The game is starting to get interesting now that tempers are flaring, and people are showing that they aren’t as nice as they say they are. Hopefully, like i said before, Libra won’t be her downfall, but only time will tell.
Mr T
Memphis is still one of my favorites. He calls it like he sees it, and doesn’t let anyone forget we’re playing a game here. He called out Jerry in the HOH room, and did not back down. There are definite strategies for that if he takes that into context. Who knows, maybe they will bury the hatchet in a week with a few beers and ally; wouldn’t that be a sight? I still think, when rattled, this hot headed guy will prove to be a valuable competitor in the long run. I feel he won’t have to stress too much over the next week unless miraculously, the Old Timer wins HOH.
Old Timer
Jerry, I’m still a fan… You’re so mid-west and we all see it. I love that your so laid back about confrontation. Not a worry in your eyes, and we can all see it. I hope to see some spark from you soon.
“Chinzey” or The Chinzter
If you aren’t aware of what “chinzey” means, it’s a combination between cheesy and being a shyster. Ollie hands down is “The Chinzter”. He has proved time and time again that he is the slippery and slimy guy only there to get his hands dirty when survival is at stake. His inability to preserve others is evident, and being so consumed with his own agenda will nip him in the end. The Chinzter is definitely someone to watch out for, as if his agenda is affected, be sure his demeanor will slip to whomever is HOH, and he’ll barter his way into not going up on the block.
Deadwood
Michelle is my official “deadwood” of Big Brother 10. Deadwood is a person that leeches around aimlessly, accomplishing next to nothing. A day goes by, then a week, and then you realize the accomplishments of everyone else, and did you apply yourself…. NO! Hence, “Deadwood”. This girl has done nothing in the game. Michelle who??? Quite possibly the best floater in the game.
April or Jen 2.0
I have had so many people come to me and tell me April’s gameplay is similar to Jen’s of season 8. It took me many episodes of review, but now I can see similarities for sure. But the one thing that makes Jen far better than April is her strong competitions. April has yet to prove she has what it takes to compete for the real prize at the end. I am still awaiting the blond cat fight between her and Kee Kee. If there is a close runner up for the deadwood position it could be her. The only thing that keeps her from being The Deadwood is that she coerced Ollie into a relationship frenzy, which is both sly and treacherous.
The Scales
Libra has a fire, and a very deceitful demeanor. Hands down, she has opened her mouth too many times. Hopefully that won’t backfire in the end. Believe it or not, The Meathead was right… LIbra is/was indeed going for Kee Kee’s head and still is. The fact that Kee Kee honored her agreement and has shown she is true to her word, proves that Libra owes her. That will buy Kee Kee a week or more, but Libra will eventually come for her. Libra is far from balanced… LOL… She is a ticking time bomb and will not learn from her mistakes. She has lit the fire beneath so many other players in the game that she is well aware she could in fact be the next target. She will cling to those that kept her afloat like Kee Kee, and perhaps April. Other than that, her fire will ignite the house, and we will see an inferno of craziness very soon. She is bound to crack soon. Watch for it.
Conclusion…
The lines have been drawn in this house, with a few people that aren’t stable on either side. Oh Man Dan, Deadwood, perhaps Buzz Lightyear, even Mr T, will need to refortify their relationships with the people they feel closest to. In addition, the more aggressive players will need these weaker players to make temporary alliances to get some of the more open players out of the game. If these weaker players are smart, they will ride the coattails of the others for one more week to keep surviving the house and wait to strike another day.
This week’s HOH and POV are crucial to many who have opened their mouths, expressed their opinions and are due to get “knicked”. I have a feeling that depending on the HOH, this week could be full or fire, and who knows perhaps we will see our inferno.

Tonight Angie Swindell, the pharmaceutical sales representative from Orlando was the third house guest evicted from the Big Brother house. Angie played the game by sitting around quietly, observing the other house guests. She never really got too involved, and I think that might have been what did her in. The only good thing about her being evicted over Jessie is that there is one more week of drama between the two sides of the house.
At about 8:53pm est the first endurance HoH competition of the season got underway. The house guests were required to stand on on a ledge with their backs to the wall. Normally that wouldn’t be that tough. but this wall is tilted forward 45 degree, and shakes. In addition to that there were mechanical pigeons that blew garbage on them every 30 minutes or so. The competition lasted about two hours and 45 minutes, coming down to April and Michelle in the end. Michelle cut a deal with April to ensure her safety about two hours into the competition but couldn’t bring herself to let go. Eventually her body gave out on her, leaving her to fall to the ground in defeat. April said she already knew who she wanted to nominate, but she couldn’t say it while she was up there because those people were looking right at her. I’m not sure if it was a ploy to make Michelle think that she was going to turn on her alliance but it was a pretty interesting statement.
Now, with a newly HoH crowned I’m really interested to see what the newly appointed “America’s Player” Dan will do. April has a chance to turn this game on its head right now with the right nominations. She, Ollie, Jessie and Michelle could be a pretty strong group if she decides to turn on her currently alliance. Check back often for updates on Dan’s actions and the nominations.

As you all know, Keesha is the Head of Household this week, and she must nominate two people for eviction. Last night Keesha quickly made the decision that she was nominating Angie for eviction. That decision was pretty much based on her first impression of her when she entered the house. She thought to herself “That girl will win this game.” and that’s why she needs to go. I’ve heard of a gut feeling, but to have a feeling that predicts something that’s going to happen 3 months in the future is just a little unbelievable. I’m thinking that her initial impression of her was actually just that of a girl not liking another girl for, whatever reason girls don’t like each other. But, regardless of the reason, her first choice for nomination was made easily.
Keesha’s second nomination wasn’t that clear cut of a choice. Last night she was flipping back and forth between Memphis, Dan, Jessie and Michelle. Michelle was a long shot, because she’s the only one out of those four who is “cool” with the alliance in power. Memphis was also a long shot because Keesha really likes him, no; she REALLY likes him. I’m not really sure what “really” liking him means but she kept on repeating so it must ha
ve held some weight in her decision making process. Also Memphis made a deal with Keesha, promising not to use the veto to save Angie if she didn’t nominate him. So, now all we have left is Dan and Jessie. Dan has been on the block two times this season, so putting him up wouldn’t really shake anything up. While that might’ve been good for Keesha it wouldn’t have been the right thing to do to Dan. He wouldn’t in anyway deserve that nomination, but Jessie on the other hand is a totally different story. Jessie is allegedly the youngest person in the house, but he is certainly the most conceited person . Now while conceit is an annoying trait, it wouldn’t be grounds of a nomination. The fact that he is the one who nominated Steven, Keesha’s best friend in the house is definitely grounds for a nomination. Apparently, Keesha had the same thinking, because she decided to put Jessie up against Angie this week.
The line in the sand has been drawn this week, and emotions are running high. I can’t wait to see who wins veto, and what they do with it once they have it. This season is really starting to heat up.

Tonight, Steven was the second person evicted from the Big Brother house this season. He was one of the most genuine people in the house, and he left way too early. But on the bright side, in typical Big Brother fashion, Steven’s best friend in the house, Keesha won HOH.
I’m really happy she won; that stupid look of confidence on Libra’s face was annoying the hell out of me through the whole HoH competition. Come to think of it, Libra annoyed me from the moment she referred to some of the house guests as “floaters” earlier in the episode. It’s only week 3; nobody can be called a floater this early in the game, and that very comment is why I want her to be nominated this week.
New HoH Keesha can either go for revenge, or for the people that annoy her this week. If I was her I’d nominate Jessie and Memphis.
They are the two strongest guys in the house, and it couldn’t hurt to get rid of one of them. She could also take another route and nominate Libra, who seems to be getting on her nerves with the constant complaining about being on slop. Then, she should toss April up there against her, because we all know if April wins HoH, Keesha will be the first person that she goes for.
All we can do for the next few days is speculate, but I will be back to let you guys know who’s nominated. Be sure to check back tomorrow for “Zach’s Take” on the events of this week.
Zach’s Take on Big Brother 10 Week 2
July 21, 2008 by Zach S.
I wanted to wait until Sunday, July 20th aired before I wrote my first Take. And after seriously watching each person, and their movements and actions, I have come to many conclusions about this summer’s Big Brother houseguests:
The Meathead
First off, here’s my thoughts on this week’s HOH, Jesse. “Unbelievable” in one word… This guy looks like Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. Casting did an incredible job finding this vain character. Although he puts out great TV, he has truly proven that he does not have the strength to make his own decisions, and must maintain in a collective way of thinking. OMG… people unable to think in this game, surprise, surprise! And that arrogant comment at the end of the show about not being able to get his full bicep in the camera: CLASSIC.
The Diffuser
Renny, rock on! I didn’t really enjoy her gameplay and still have yet to see anything, but I do enjoy her humor, clothing choices and obscure ways of thinking. I hope to continue to laugh more… She makes me smile.
Oh Man Dan
Dan, Dan, Dan… Dan you are true to your words, and can be used to go far in this game, though I just don’t know… I think you’re out of your league but we will see. Good luck Oh Man Dan…
My Favorites
Kee Kee
Keesha is still one of my favorites. She has proven to have a strategic mind, and is slowly creating accurate assessments of the players in the game. Although she will remain on slop for week #2, I feel this won’t hinder her game. I think there are others that will suffer from this. Her honesty in the diary room helps convey how she perceives other people’s behaviors to be. I see her deception and treachery to be two assets in her gameplay, and they seem to be developing very well, yet her perceptions might get the best of her.
Rodeo Clown
You can already see the alliance of Steven and Keesha forming. Though Steven has his work cut out this week, if he goes it will weaken Keesha’s game. I think he really needs to step it up this week. I dig this guy, and think casting did a formidable job finding him. Although his character has not been developed, and why he didn’t go to Jesse’s HOH I will never know… Was that bold or bonehead? If he survives this week his game will step up a notch, I think.
Mr T
Mr Tennessee, or Memphis (LOL), is one of my favorites. I think his stories about his past are very compelling and provide deep insight to his thinking. He seems to hold his poker face well, and if he is upset about certain issues in the game, we may never know. Casting did well finding this emotionless poker player. I think there is a fierce competitor in him yet to be seen, and feel Memphis will go far, if not possibly win this game. Watch out for him. I think when he gets going in this game people won’t even see it coming. He is hands down one of the A Team in the flesh, tough on the outside as well as tough on the inside.
Old Timer
Jerry is a great stand up guy. I’m still a fan of his, and think he is true blue. I hope he goes far… His age is both his plus, and his minus. I feel Jerry will go far in this game, though he will falter on many of the competitions. We are finally getting to see his true colors. He seems to make decisions based on the group and wants to maintain a secret silent alliance with two others. I can totally forsee a secret alliance formed; though I won’t divulge my thoughts at this time. I think an ex-military guy has a true nature of game play and execution. He will go far, but overall, will not win. If he makes it to the final two, the jury will hand him the crown, but that is his true fight.
Conclusion…
There are many battles have yet to happen. This whole “showmance” charade with Ollie and April will not last. But it will keep those two working together when all else fails. And, I’m still waiting for the Blonde Battle cat fight that WILL happen. And, if and when Jerry or Libra explodes, it will make the season.
There are a few silent types that prove to have good game sense, yet are undeveloped. And a few that show that they have no sense playing. Some are power trippers, and some have made mistakes they can’t bounce back from. As a result, the POV competitions are going to be crucial.
Until next week, thanks for reading…. Hope everyone is watching…
