Big Brother 10: Week 7 Double Eviction

Unlike some people, I was actually sad to see Michelle evicted from the house. I found her yelling and accent quite charming. I don’t think she should’ve been leaving tonight. If Dan was going screw Ollie over, why did he put up Michelle? If you screw somebody over, wouldn’t you fully renege on the deal and put the person you made the deal with up? I really don’t like Dan’s games, because more times than not, they are pointless. He claims that he’s stirring things up, but his games never stir things up; they’re just games.
A quick congratulations to Keesha for winning HoH for the second time this season. The nominations of Ollie and Jerry were to be expected, but Ollie not finding any vetoes in his haystack was odd. I’m going to say what I know Ollie was thinking, “There weren’t any veto’s in my pile!” Because the competition was obviously tailor made for the Dan, “the plant”, to win. I’m not really jumping on the “Dan is a” plant theory, but I find rather odd that he was the only one that had a rain coat in last week’s competition, and was seen making things very similar to the red Vetoes used in tonight’s competition. Again, I just want to say that I’m not saying he’s a plant– I’m just saying it’s odd.
Now, with Ollie gone the game really begins. This two and a half week alliance between Renny/Keesha and The Renegades will come to an end. It’s time to play for self, and to play to win. My money is on Renny. Who you got?

When we last checked in, after Big Brother ended Thursday night, the King of the Vine HoH competition left Dan a winner. The problem was, in order to win the competition, he made a deal with the other player left on a vine in the rain: Ollie.
Normally, the deals made in the endurance comps are pretty straight forward; the winner promises not to put the loser on the block to be nominated for eviction. This deal between Ollie and Dan has to be the weirdest in Big Brother history. Not only does Dan agree not to put Ollie up for eviction, he promises to keep Michelle safe. Not only that, but Ollie gets to choose one person to put on the block. And as if that wasn’t enough relinquishment of power, Dan tells Ollie that if someone comes off the block, due to the Power of Veto, Ollie can pick who he wants to go up as a replacement. What the hell, why not just give him HoH, Dan?
With the deal in place, Dan placed Jerry on the block and Ollie chose Memphis.
I have to admit, I spent a lot of time wondering if Dan had gone off the deep end with this deal with Ollie. Frankly, it sounds like he is throwing his alliance under the bus, just so he can have a private room all to himself for a week. He would have nothing to gain from this deal, unless his plan was to get rid of his own alliance without actually pulling the trigger.
But I don’t think that’s it. It seems that Dan just wants Ollie to think he is so stupid that he would give the preacher’s son all the power. And so far, from the events in the house to date, we should all stayed tuned for the house to be in turmoil this week. In the power of veto competition today, Ollie didn’t get to play, and Memphis won the POV. Right now, the question is who will really choose who replaces Memphis once he takes himself off the block.
If it turns out that Ollie ended up falling for the okey-doke, he will officially be the worst Big Brother player ever. Then again, the same could be said of Dan if this all blows up in his face.

We’re about 3 hours and 45 minutes into the competition and all but Dan and Ollie have been eliminated. As with any Big Brother endurance competition, there are people calling foul. Michelle fell off because her leg got caught in a net that’s part of the wall that they were smashing into. I see why she’s complaining, but earlier in the competition she grabbed on to that very same net to save herself from falling.
Memphis was the last to fall so far, and seemed to be in the worse shape of everyone. Think about the condition that Dick was in at the of of his endurance competition, and if thats a 10 Memphis was about an 8. BB production even came over the loud speaker to ask him if he was okay.
Well that’s all there is for right now. We’re going on about 3 hours and 45 minutes now. Ollie and Dan are trying to cut deals, but neither of them seems to trust the other enough to drop.
And as I wrote this, Ollie dropped like a rock. Dan is HoH!

Na na na na, hey hey hey goodbye, April. It’s the end of this season’s showmance, and also the end of a lot of perverts’ 24/7 feed subscriptions. April didn’t really pose much of a threat competition-wise, but then again nobody this season really does. I think she was an easy target because she always talked about how great she was and how awesome her life is outside of the house. Not to mention that she had a solid alliance with Ollie. Sure, she’ll be missed, but no where near as much as Dan, Michelle, or Renny would be if they got evicted. Those three are what make the feeds worth watching; Renny especially.
So, as the show goes off the air we find out that tonight’s HoH competition, appropriately titled “King of The Jungle,” is an endurance competition where the house guest have to hang on a jungle vine, while slamming into a wall as it rains on them. I’ll be sure to update you all when the competition ends, and a new HoH is crowned. While we all wait for the out come, how about voting for you favorite house guest to recieve a call from home? As we all know, this is the time in the season where all of the house guest realizes which of them is liked by America, so be sure to make those votes count.

With Renny’s nominations of Jerry, and April, there’s nobody in the house other than them or Ollie that would change the nominations if they won veto. I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to see that that’s pretty bad odds for the nominees, at least a first glance anyway. If we run down the list of remaining house guests it looks like the nominees would have a pretty good chance of winning the veto…
Renny: She’s smart, but if it’s something extremely physical that requires speed, she’ll be a long shot to win it. All she’s won this season was the HoH competition.
Keesha: She’s a really good competitor, but she can’t seem to get over that hump that makes her a dominant force in competitions. If memory serves me right she only won HoH once.
Memphis: He’s a ticking time bomb in my opinion. He hasn’t won anything other than luxury items so far. But, when a luxury item is up for grabs he makes sure that he wins it. If he could apply that to the IMPORTANT competitions he could be a problem. There are some key questions we have to ask about him this week. Will he compete for veto? Will there be prizes that would distract him from the veto? Does he even care to win it? Who knows…
Dan: He likes to typically “throw” competitions in an attempt to make himself look less like a threat. I wonder if he is going to end up like Dr. Will and throw competitions so much that when he actually tries to win, he can’t.
Michelle: She has the ability to win this week, and definitely the motivation. There is a good chance that if one of the nominees were to come off the block, she’d be the replacement nominee. She’s one of those players that gets a break every once in a while, but more times than not she falls just short of victory.
Ollie: Let’s be real; he sucks. He is a nice enough guy, but when it comes to competitions he has proven to be totally useless. Maybe with his girl friend?…err showmance?…um bang buddy..ehh April in trouble he’ll turn into a new house guest that wins competitions.
April: She’s got enough confidence in herself to drive her to victory, but in her eyes she also has the “choke” factor. If she comes out with the win I wouldn’t be too shocked.
Jerry: Winner of the last two Veto competitions, Jerry is obviously the Big Brown of the competition, but I think just like Big Brown he’s due to have an upset.
After the smoke from the veto competition settled there was one man left standing, Dan! Seeing as we couldn’t see the competition I’m not sure how he came to win the veto. He might’ve won it outright, but with his history of “throwing” competitions, I think he fell backwards into it. It’s gonna be fun seeing if Jerry tries to talk Dan into using the veto him tonight, even though I don’t think his pride would let him. Also there isn’t any need for him to suck up to Dan since April is the house’s target.

Tonight Libra was evicted from the Big Brother house, and as a result she has become the first member of the jury. When I saw that fight with her and Jessie last week, I knew she’d be going this week. Her big mouth ultimately led to her downfall. I’m not a fan of hers, but I will miss the funny looks she’d get on her face when certain things were said.
I’m now interested to see what kind of damage the newly formed Renegades(Memphis and Dan) can do in the house. But I’ll have to wait another week to see if they get power because Renny is the new HoH. Renny hasn’t had any really big blowouts with anyone in the house. We know she doesn’t see eye to eye with Jerry, so that gives us one potential nomination, but the second one is a toss up. She could go the safe route, and nominate Michelle, but I’d like to see her make a strong play and nominate April. The real game of Big Brother starts because what Renny does this week will set the house up for a mad dash to the finish.

I don’t even think i really needed to post this, but Libra and Keesha were nominated for eviction this week. Libra, the main antagonist and conspirator in the whole Jessie eviction, is Michelle’s main target. Keesha too, has done her fair share of arguing, but she is merely just caught in Michelle’s cross-hairs by mere association with Libra.
Today the luxury/food competition was played. The current house guests seem to have really gotten a kick out of the alumni showing up to help out with the competition. Although we weren’t able to see the competition on the live feeds, there was quiet a bit of talk about it when it was over. Apparently, the alumni cheered when Michelle went up for her turn in the comp, and in stark contrast fell dead silent when Libra took the stage. Since the comment was made by Michelle I’ll assume the alumni were probably more vocal when she took her turn and just clapped when Libra went up. I don’t think they’d blatantly show that they didn’t like somebody by not clapping at all.
When the veto competition takes place I’ll be back to let you guys know who won. In the meantime, head on over and read what BB8’s Zach thinks of the current developements.

Finally, the 100% natural body builder was evicted from the Big Brother house, and it was all thanks to America’s vote. I think this might have been the first time that America was the swing vote. I’m not sure if we were the swing vote on Dustin’s(BB8) eviction. As nice as it was to have an affect on the game again, I think its time to stop with this America’s player stuff. It’s the type of twist that’s only good once. The house was jokingly calling Dan America’s Player before he was officially America’s Player, so its time to officially put that to rest along with the red leotards.
On a related note, Michelle won her first HoH compeition, beating out Libra in the end. I have to say I was very happy that Michelle beat Libra; that confident look she had when voting out Jessie pissed me off. I hate it when people look so confident when voting people out. It’s not like they already have HoH themselves, so they shouldn’t be so smug. I do feel sorry for Dan though. He’s getting yelled at by everyone right now because of what America voted. I don’t know if he can talk himself out of this, but only time will tell. I’ll be back to let you guys know who got nominated when it happens.
