Nicole Richie, who recently gave birth to her first child with boyfriend Joel Madden, is about to become a parent again. Joel announced the good news on the website of his band, Good Charlotte:

Nicole, who is the daughter of pop star Lionel Richie, is most known for co-starring with friend Paris Hilton on the reality show, The Simple Life.

It wasn’t that long ago, when Reality Roll Call was just a baby, that we were posting about Paris Hilton being disinherited by her grandfather, and her impending  jail time for being a proud graduate of the Britney Spears Driving School.

Then she was sentence to jail. And she went to jail kicking and screaming.  Then she was released momentarily, and the judge ordered her back to jail. And she was dragged back to serve her sentence. Kicking and screaming.

And it’s rough times like that which actually separate the heiresses from the lesser sex tape debutantes.  Jail time could have hardened her; it could have broken her. But instead it made her introspective, it gave her time to realize that maybe all the pantiless photo ops were a bad idea. It made her write a song called . And if this song stops one girl from making the same mistakes she’s made, Paris’ suffering will not have been in vain.

Paris Hilton Says Her New BFF is Really Her Friend

No, really.  And not in that made-for-TV way either. According to Paris, the person who won the MTV reality show, Paris Hilton’s My New BFF, is her new Best Friend Forever.

Contact Music quotes Hilton:

“The person who won is now my best friend. We hang out. Yeah, we’re really friends.
“We’ve been having barbecues and hanging out at the house. The winner and I have been pretty low-key so far, because it is top secret right now.
“In my life you can get photographed at any time. You never know when paparazzi are going to be hiding around the corner. So my friend needs to be paparazzi-ready.”

As a matter of fact, this technique of holding auditions to find true friendship has worked so well for her that she is traveling across the pond to the U.K. to find another new BFF.  Says Paris, “I’m in the UK all the time, but of course I can’t bring all my friends, so I’ve decided to look for a new BFF across the pond. I need a best friend who is hot, who can keep up with me, and most of all, who is real and won’t be a backstabber.”

And let’s not forget the most important criteria: Must be willing to jump through hoops and make of fool of themselves on television.

Paris Hilton Clears The Air

Last week, the Paris Hilton internet news was that she went ballistic when she wasn’t allowed to buy a puppy to use as an accessory in a photo shoot. Well, she’s been reading the things that people have been saying about her (or at least having someone tell her about it), and she wants to set the record straight.

From the pages of her MySpace blog:

“I wanted to let you know that I’ve been getting messages and reading stories about an incident that supposedly happened with me and a pet store: I was catching up on news last week only to read a story about me walking by some puppies for sale, and demanding that I be given a Yorkie puppy to be an accessory for a photo shoot. These stories have gotten out of control and I want to clear some things up-

“I wasn’t looking for a new pet, I wasn’t even at a photo shoot that day, (I was down the street at Benji’s DCMA clothing store) and I actually have a Yorkie puppy. I love animals and the cruel things people say are not acceptable. Puppies are not accessories or toys and I love my own pets dearly–I treat them as if they were my children. Of course I support pet adoption from shelters, and I made sure that my BFF show involved a local one to spread the word about how these animals need loving owners. So it is sad that someone felt the need to invent a story about me throwing a fit for a dog that would “go with my outfit.”

I have no idea where people come up with these stories and they are spreading to so many news outlets that I just have to speak my mind and clear things up, especially with my fans. I love you all and appreciate your messages, as always.”

Paris Hilton was a co-star of the reality show, The Simple Life and is currently taping a reality show for MTV, where the winner will be her BFF.

Paris Won’t Have a Double Wedding With Nicole

Paris Hilton has squashed rumors that she would be having a double wedding with her BFF, and Simple Life co-star Nicole Richie. The two are currently hooked up with twin brothers Benji and Joel Madden of Good Charlotte. Nicole has a baby daughter with Joel.

Paris says that even though she has heard the double wedding rumor, she would want to have separate weddings.

Probably because they wouldn’t be able to round up enough puppies for the bridal bouquets.

Paris Hilton Not Allowed to Buy a Puppy Necklace

Recently heiress and reality tv star Paris Hilton had a major hissy fit when The Puppy Store in Los Angeles wouldn’t let her buy a Yorkshire Terrier puppy for a photo shoot.

Paris was on her way to a photo shoot over the weekend, and decided that a puppy in the picture would make it cuter. So, she explained that to the good people at The Puppy Store on Melrose, and they denied her purchase. An employee there cited the purchase as “an impulse buy”, according to Page Six.

Clearly, the foolish employee didn’t know the difference between an impulse buy and the well thought out fashion accessory. Having left her other canine brooches and purses at home, Paris, “went ballistic”, and according to sources, “She started screaming, ‘I love my puppies! I want my baby!’”

And as anyone who has ever worked in customer service can attest, the screaming customer usually gets nothing…but becomes the subject of amusing conversation when they leave.

Not to Be Outdone By Paris, Nicole Richie Shops a Reality Show

New mom Nicole Richie has been out and about, shopping her idea for a reality show. No, it’s not as pathetic as Paris Hilton’s search for a new BFF, but it’s not all that interesting on the surface. She is going to be looking for the next Nicole Richie, according to EW.com.

The show is going to have seven girls compete to achieve the status of “being famous for being famous”, Just like her. The winner of the show will get her own reality show, where she can go from town to town, living with families and acting like a jerk for the camera, drop a lot of weight, get arrested for driving under the influence several times, go to jail for 15 minutes, hook up with a rock star twin, and have a baby.

Hopefully, over time Nicole will try to hone an actual skill, start a business or do something to show that she isn’t just famous for being famous.

Is Paris Hilton Pregnant?

Paris Hilton with child? It wouldn’t be surprising, you know. She is dating her best friend’s baby daddy’s twin brother, Benji Madden. And even though she is looking for a new BFF, I don’t think that’s going to work out. So, if she had more in common with her childhood friend and Simple Life cohort, Nicole Richie, they could do so much more fun stuff together. Just like I wrote in my idea for their new reality show.

Even though it hasn’t been confirmed, there are some interesting pictures over at Popbytes.com, and she certainly looks to have a croissant in the hearth, right down to the protruding navel.

Paris Blogs About Meeting All Her New Reality Show Friends

I am so jealous. Today on Paris Hilton’s My Space blog she wrote about meeting all of the applicants who are competing to be her new bff on her MTV reality show. It sounds so cool and intimate, just like I imagine it would be if I applied to compete to be friends with someone. She was so unselfish that she had the 18 people that she actually chose to be on the show get makeovers from Fred Seagal Beauty, and I know that is not a plug. That is something that real friends do for each other; they get each other makeovers from Fred Seagal Beauty. And only Fred Seagal Beauty. Any other place would be a show of insincerity. Paris loves doing makeovers on her friends. She said so herself. Because that’s what people who have people compete on tv for their friendship do.

I am sad that I am too much of a loser to not be able to seek out my friendships by having a reality competition show. I am one of the poor suckers who actually builds relationships with people. No Fred Seagal for me.

“Hey everyone! I am so excited, we have finally started taping my new show for MTV. I just want to thank you all for sending in your videos and applications. The response was massive and incredible, we had more applicants then any show in history, so that felt really nice that so many people wanted to be apart of it. I met all the contestants on wednesday night. I had them all meet me at the club Les Deux. I was a little nervous at first cause I always get shy meeting new people. But everyone ended up being very sweet, cool and fun to be around. I’m really happy with the final contestants, although it was really hard to pick only 18 people from so many great choices. Today I had the team from Fred Seagal Beauty come do makeovers on these girls and boys and the results were astonishing. They all looked stunning and beautiful and hot! So much fun! I love doing make overs on my friends .I have to do an elimination tomorrow, meaning telling one of the contestants that they have to leave. I am having anxiety and really dreading those moments of all the eliminations. But it’s going to be a lot of fun and a these people will get to have a fun experience and I’m happy cause I feel like I’ve made friends with some of these people already.
