Cast Mate Who Goes to Rehab During The Real World Goes Back to Rehab on VH1

You may remember the then popular Joey Kovar as the cast mate from The Real World: Hollywood as the likeable weightlifter with the substance abuse problem who went on a drug and alcohol abuse binge, and terrorized his housemates. The last we saw of him, he had cleaned up his act, but he is scheduled for VH1’s Celebrity Rehab 3, along with some other familiar faces:

VH1 has once again partnered with Dr. Drew Pinsky for a third season of the hit reality series Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. The series, consisting of eight one-hour episodes, is slated to premiere in early 2010.Similar to the first two cycles, the third season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew will follow the real-life experiences of celebrity patients undergoing detoxification and treatment at the Pasadena Recovery Center. The show will follow Mackenzie Phillips (One Day At A Time), Heidi Fleiss, Dennis Rodman, Mindy McCready (country music singer), Lisa D’Amato (America’s Next Top Model), Mike Starr (Alice in Chains), Kari Ann Peniche (ex-Miss United States Teen) Joey Kovar (Real World Hollywood), and Tom Sizemore.

The series will chronicle the patients’ intensive 21-day program with both group and one-on-one therapy and non-traditional therapies like art and music. Returning to the show to help Dr. Drew are drug counselor Bob Forrest and resident technician Shelly Sprague who have each spent years on both sides of the rehab fence. Dr. Drew is also bringing in some additional prominent physicians to help him give the patients supplementary one-on-one care.

Hey guys… well anyone that watched me on The Real World: Hollywood knows I lost my friend and mentor Brandon to cancer. Since the show I’ve been trying to stay active with hosting and promoting awareness on the topic of cancer. With The Real World/ Road Rules Challenge: The Duel 2 coming out with me on it I thought it would be a good time to give everyone a chance to play a part. Real World Hollywood’s Nick On The Tyra Banks Show

Anyone that watched Real World Hollywood knows that Nick was the replacement roommate when Greg Halstead got kicked off the show. You may also remember that he wanted to be host of his own show. Well, he’s not quite there yet, but he is on a talk show, which is a step in the right direction. Get Ready for the Next Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Island

The great thing about the end of a season of MTV’s The Real World is knowing that a Real World/Road Rules Challenge will soon follow. Taping for The Island will wrap up tomorrow, and one of my favorite MTV reality shows will return with all my favorite people. The Challenges never disappoint.

I have to get something to eat (hopefully a large omelet), but when I get back I will post all I know about The Island. In the meantime, amuse yourselves with this video of the cast:

…Okay this is what I found out: this time around The Challenge is going to be similar to Survivor, and a couple of the cast members actually rented old Survivor videos just to see what it is like and get some tips on playing the game. Cast members were told not to bring any electronic devises, like blow dryers, electric razors and curling irons, because they wouldn’t be able to use them. MTV is actually using the location of Survivor: Panama (specifically, Bocas del Toro Province) for the challenge.

An additional note: Dave Molinosky from Real World: Hollywood will be the newest Challenge competitor.

We all know Brianna from the current season of Real World as the ex stripper aspiring to make it in the music business.
