Slumdog Millionaire becomes a reality show

The whole concept of the Oscar-nominated Slumdog Millionaire is so intriguing that producers in London have decided to make it a reality television show.

Lest anyone think that this is merely a way to profit from the movie’s infectiously popularity, the co-producer, Celador quickly dispels the notion.

According to the Daily Express in the U.K. the show, which will be called “Secret Slumdog Millionaire,”  will actually help the citizens of Mumbai. Each week a group of millionaires will secretly visit Mumbai, and after stealthy observation they will select a person or a group as a benefactor of their good will. At the end of the show, the source of the charitable contributions will be revealed. And the viewers will smile warmly, and wipe a tear of joy from their rosy cheeks.
