Christopher Knight is taking time off from being Mr. Adrienne Curry to host the syndicated tv version of the popular board game Trivial Pursuit.  The show will debut on September 22, and will coincide with Hasbro’s release of the 25th Anniversary Edition of the game. Hasbro is really good at synchronizing tv shows with their products. Remember the G.I. Joe, Transformers and My Little Pony cartoons?   I can’t wait to pick up the Chris Knight and Adrienne Curry action figures that my twisted mind has decided Hasbro will make.  I’m going to set them up in a Barbie Beach house, and he’s going to break his arm doing circus stunts, and she’s going to blog on MySpace and do internet radio shows!

Anyway, the actual name of the show is Trivial Pursuit: America Plays, which leads me to think it will be interactive. Christopher is very optimistic about the show’s success:

“I’ve always been a ‘Trivial Pursuit’ fan and I can really see TV audiences becoming obsessed with this addictive format,” Knight said in a statement. “Once you start it’s hard to stop and I think viewers’ fascination with pop culture will keep them coming back for more. Or they can tune in and be bathed in my boyish enthusiasm.”

Having never taken a bath in boyish enthiasm before, I am looking forward to the experience. Click here for more information on the show.
