This results show determined the top 10 dancers who’ll be going on this year’s tour. They open with choreography by Tabitha and Napoleon set to Closer by Ne-yo and involving glow-in-the-dark jackets. When Cat comes on, I’m annoyed by the black flower in her hair, but I’m totally enamored by her black minidress with a bustle type thing in the front. I need that dress in my closet. If I ever saw her on a dance floor with that dress, I’d follow her to the bathroom and dress-jack her.

As Cat goes about announcing who is in the bottom three, there are very few surprises. Comfort and Thayne are first, and Mia tells them that America had been telling them something for a long time but they weren’t hearing it. “Neither of you have reached your potential,” she said. Mary said her heart ached when it was revealed that Will and Jessica were in the bottom. When Courtney and Twitch were called up, Nigel said it shows that no one is safe, even when they’re favorites. He basically told them that they were safe in his book, but I couldn’t help but think that with two other great male dancers in the bottom three, Twitch better dance hard.

Before the losing dancers were revealed, three Alvin Ailey dancers performed the piece Revolution. To say they were phenomenal would be an understatement. They were true professional dancers. If you’ve never seen an Alvin Ailey performance, it’s something to be added to the list of things that must be experienced before you die. At the end of their performance, my boyfriend decided he wanted to be one of them. He proceeded to cavort around our apartment and attempt to do a split. Yes, it was as funny as it sounds.

Comfort is the first to perform, and she spends a little bit too much time running across the stage. Thayne dances as if to say, “America, please love me.” Jessica (who I assume will stay simply because Comfort is leaving) is dry. Will practically leaps to the rafters, and the crowd screams, twitters, and I’m sure if someone ever swooned because of dancing, it would be over Will. Cat said she was glad he was in the bottom three just to see him perform. Meanwhile, Will has worked his way into the heart of my boyfriend who has fallen into a mancrush. I don’t blame him–at least I’ll have someone else with whom to share my Will-fawning activities. Kherington is next and she is great, though actually, I forgot her dance even as I watched it. Twitch is a dancing conductor, or what a conductor would look like if he used his entire body. Cat says this must be the toughest week yet, but I think it will only be tough to judge the boys. In the end, Comfort and Thayne are going home, though Nigel said he wished he could keep Thayne and lose two girls. I’m quite sure that was directed at Jessica. Either way, the top 10 have been anointed. In the meantime, I’m off to go do a happy dance video to see if I can win tickets to the finales. Wish me luck.
